Jean Keel Story
Dr Jean Keel enlisted in the Army as a WAC Women’s Army Corps Enlistee Vietnam Era with over 20 years military service Sergeant First Class. Vietnam War and former Emergency Room Supervisor at Martin Army Community Hospital, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
She was one of the first African American Drill Sergeants. In 2019, she earned a degree in Psychology at the University of Hard Knocks.
In 2015, Founded Tender Love and Care Outreach, Inc 501 c 3 non-profit organization serving homeless veterans in Phoenix City, Alabama. The organization focus was to assist homeless Veterans to file claims with the Veterans Administration.
Dr Jean Keel is a recognized Entrepreneur, Business Manager, and Spiritual Leader. As an entrepreneur, spent thousands of dollars of her own resources to purchase five and half acres of land to build a therapeutic facility for female Veterans.
Rev Dr Keel has partnered with the United States Department of Agriculture (with the focus on conservation and healing. Recognized Vietnam Veterans, widows and orphans in Columbus GA, Ft Benning Ga and Phenix City, Alabama. She has Provided permanent housing and sustainability for homeless men and female Veterans. The purpose is to provide a place for healing wounded Veterans (Moral Injury, PTSD, Military Sexual Trauma).
Over the years she has developed a Veterans model and strategy for Veterans to transition from homelessness to a marketplace and holistic environment healing farm for Veterans.
To achieve her organization’s mission, Dr Keel is willing to partner with other organizations that will help veterans. IN 2016 Assigned as Pastor of White Chapel CME Church, Wadley, AL Southeast AL 5th Episcopal District of CME Church.
In 2017 she received Doctoral Degree of Advocacy in recognition of contributions to the church and community. In 2019 she received the Remarkable Women Award Recipient WRBL and Nexstar.
In 2020 she was the Grand Winner of the Remarkable Women Award. She has served as Congressional Caucus Veterans Brain Trust Remarkable Woman of the Year Award, Washington D C.
Our History
The Jean Keel Story
December 29, 2023 In Dec 29, 2023, we will launch the Tiny Home Project, for our homeless women veterans experiencing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and military sexual trauma.
October 6, 2022 Visit from United States Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources Conservation services. Planning for Conservation Reserve Program for the wildlife and habitat on the unused land.
August 1, 2021 The tunnel houses will increase revenue by allowing crops to be planted all year round.
November 1, 2020 Introduction to the visitors for our open house on Veterans Farm Day. Guest from various farms supporting our veterans and USDA and Mid-South RC&D of Alabama. Great networking opportunities.
October 1, 2019 Renovation of our building to be used as a tiny house for two women veterans that are homeless and experiencing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and military sexual trauma.
